Kerchiefs/Sunday Sampler

Bottle

No bottle of hair color needed when you can cover your hair with accessories. Scarves come in a splendid array of styles, materials and colors. For the purpose of Sunday Sampler, I’m sharing my latest vintage-inspired creations.

After a recent request for a scarf with cloth ties versus the crocheted ones, I took some time to fill the order, add an extra one for good measure in the shop, and waited to see if it was a good option. And guess what?! It sold. So without further ado, I’m making some more and giving some options for the Fall craft show season. These are size small. Hoping to gather my volunteer models this coming week for photos. (crossing fingers)

Have a Wonderful Sunday and Happy Father’s Day!

Nephew!!

He drew my name in our family gift exchange and a little bird apparently told him I needed to go shopping. And shopping I did!

Chaos

Somehow I manage to make this space work.

Probably good thing it’s hid away in the basement.

Note: Do Not call the makeover police. I’m perfectly content in my organized chaos.

Remembering to Reverse/ Sunday Sampler

Sunday Sampler

Mother brought me a little something to ‘fix’. The photo on the left is of an embroidery project that has faded drastically. It made it nearly impossible for her to complete. The photo on the right is the pattern that she used to iron onto the towel.File_002 (4)

With sharpie and a sheet of mylar, I traced the pattern. Rough I know, but should do the trick.

File_000 (11)

Unless you copy it to the wrong side of the towel. oops.

Excuse #2006 to make a trip to the local fabric place and spend the last of my gift card. Blue will be better for Mother to see anyway. Right?!

Have a wonderful week!!

My Personal Sew Bowl

Sew…. I was supposed to be “sewing” in my new sewing room during the Super Bowl
but as  luck would have it I couldn’t get my  cutting table out of storage.

Sew rainy/snowy/downright yucky out.

Sew… I returned to my old stand-by, crochet.

Sew glad that text book in the corner of this pic is Rachel’s and not mine.  Crochet is Sew much better,

It’s OK for you to call me a ‘Sew and Sew’ if you endured this post.

The Future of Quilting

My niece became a connoisseur of blanket-making this Christmas. I first received this text message:

Evette screenshot (2)

An actual Sewn-by-machine, honest to goodness, blanket.

Among the handful she cIMG_1084 (2)reated was this one….. ANd along the way she discovered JoAnn Fabric Online 🙂

Guess what Evette?? My sewing room is nearly complete and open to use when you need it 🙂

Happy Holidays to all my readers!
